General FAQ's

What is a professional photographer?

Someone who has professionally trained in disciplines such as lighting, posing and post production. As well as someone who is experienced at their craft, knows how to protect your shoot from or rectify any problems and who is fully insured. Jo Russell Photography is insured for professional indemnity and public liability.

Are you one of those ‘in your face photographers?’

No! We try and stay as discreet as possible when we need to, and make you laugh and have fun with you when we need to, but we have never been accused of being ‘in your face’ or too intrusive.

Why should I use a professional photographer rather than a friend or relative?

Ever heard of the phrase ‘you get what you pay for’? By hiring a professional photographer your not only getting peace of mind that they have probably ‘been there’ and ‘done it’ – therefore knowing how to handle themselves when the unforeseen happens, but your also paying for a standard of work that can be guaranteed. Your photographer wont loose your images, get drunk at your event or, at worst, fail to turn up – they are professionals and you are paying them for their experience and training.

How do I choose the right photographer?

Not every photographer will be right for you, look at their style, their demeanour and even at their prices.  Pick your photographer wisely, the last thing you want is someone you don’t know/like/trust trying to make you smile when you don’t enjoy their company.

Do you travel?

Yes - we have portable studio equipment if you would like a studio shoot but cant get to us. We also shoot out on location if you have a venue in mind. We will ask for travel expenses on some occasions if your shoot location is more than an hour outside of London, but dont worry, we will discuss this with you during your consultation.

When should we book?

As soon as you know you would like to hire us! We take bookings up to a year in advance for events like Weddings and Bar Mitzvah’s, and all other sessions can usually be booked in up to a week in advance. If you need an urgent shoot please get in touch as we will try our best to fit you in the diary. All bookings are confirmed with a non refundable deposit – please see the fill T+C’s for details.

How can I book?

Give us a call, drop in or send an email and we can take a look at the diary for you!

How do I get a confirmation of my booking?

You will receive an email confirming your date, time and venue along with any other details we need to know.

Do I have to give you a deposit?

Yes, we ask for a retainer from you to hold the day of your shoot. This is non-refundable, but can be transferred to another date if you need to reschedule in good time.

What is reportage photography?

Reportage means "news" and it is reporting things as they are in an unbiased manner. In photography this translates to taking photos of things as they are, with no fixed poses or direction from the photographer. A reportage photographer must think on their feet and use their ability to take great images to tell a story in pictures.

What is traditional photography?

Traditional photography is the more formal, posed shots. Generally they involve different shots of the bride and groom, various family members and members of the wedding party standing outside the venue or other nice looking location. These are brilliant if you want to ensure that everyone is in the shots, these are usually done after the wedding as well as the photographer taking a few photos of the cake cutting.

Do you shoot on digital or film cameras?

We shoot in digital cameras. Our photographers all use high end Canon equipment.

How will I be able to view my images?

We can come to your home and walk you through your images or you can view your images on a private online gallery.

How long will I have to wait to view my images?

Different shoots take different amounts of time to turn around due to volume of images and retouching, this may range between a few days and a few weeks. To find out how long your shoot could take please have a look at your shoot specific FAQs.

Can my guests or I by images online?

Yes. Once you have logged into your passworded gallery you can order prints, canvases, acrylics, digital images

Could you recommend any other suppliers for our shoot?

We have a full list of recommended suppliers who we have worked with over the last few years and we trust them implicitly. Please ask if you would like to be personally recommended to a trade. Jo is also an active member of the referrals network BNI Edgwarebury and can personally vouch for many members. Click here if you would like to have a look at what BNI is all about.

Do you use assistants?

We do use assistants from time to time, but not on every shoot. Have a chat with us to determine if your shoot will require an assistant or a second photographer.

Do you have any job vacancies?

Not at the moment but we will post any vacancies in our blog section as they arise. If you’re a budding photographer looking to get into the field, feel free to drop us an email with your CV and links to an online portfolio and we will get in touch as an when a position arises. Thanks!

Before the big day

What do we need to look for in a wedding photographer?

The first thing to look for is personality. We are the only people you’re hiring for your day that will be with you every step of the way, so we need to get on! Your going to feel more comfortable being followed all day by a friend than you are a ‘photographer’ so feel free to ask any questions and really get to know us!

Look at our photography and imagine yourself in the images. Can you connect with them? We all have styles, approaches, and different ways of doing things so make sure what we do and what you want are similar. Make sure you walk through your wedding day with us and ask how we might approach different issues throughout the day.

The other main component is price. If the packages are within your budget and the other two bases are covered then I think your on to a winner! Remember, the investment you make in your photography will shape how you feel when you look back on your day and will last a lot longer than the top tier of your cake!

How do I determine my wedding photography budget?

Before asking yourself how much you should allocate for your wedding photographer, first gauge the importance and the amount of emphasis your wedding photography will play in remembering your big day. Many couples believe after apportioning as much money as they have already on their wedding day that preserving those memories are the greatest investment they can make.

As they say with big screen televisions these days, “Go one size larger”.

Translation: Obviously, base your budget on what you anticipate you can afford and then attempt to imagine just beyond that realm. Endeavor to allow your eye to decide - not your wallet - what captures the way you’ve always imagined preserving those special memories.

Can we upgrade our package after we book you?

Of course! The package you choose when you confirm your booking will be the minimum service you will receive. Obviously, we have tailored our packages to give you bigger discounts the bigger you go, but you can always add to any package you choose.

What are the benefits of having an engagement shoot before our wedding?

Engagement shoots are great for you to get to know your photographer better and, in turn, great for them to know how you react in front of their camera. If you are naturally camera shy it might be better for you to have an engagement session so you know what to expect from your photographer on your wedding day. That way there will be one less thing to worry about and as a bonus you will have some fantastic shots of you and your partner other than those on your big day.

How far in advance do we have to do our engagement photos in order to have a framed portrait displayed at our wedding?

We aim to shoot your engagement portraits about two months before your big day, as this allows for post-production time and products can take up to four weeks to get back to us. If we are going out to a location for your shoot then we might need to schedule it further in advance to allow for weather related issues.

Someone I know has offered to do our wedding photography for a much lower price and give us the digital files. Wouldn’t that be a great way to save money?

Wedding photography is similar to other services in that there are people operating at all levels of experience and expertise. Pricing is one way that those with the most experience or expertise distinguish themselves. So, if you commission a wedding photographer who will shoot all day and hand over the files for such a low price, you may not be getting the quality images that you’d hoped for.

We have spent many years perfecting our craft and invested in specific training (covering technical photographic skill, album design and artistic ability) to make sure we can deliver a high quality service to our clients.

Be careful if you decide to use a friend of the family because at the end of the day – you get what you pay for. If your photography isn’t as important as other aspects of the day then this could be absolutely fine for you but remember, after your big day, your photographs are the main aid to you remembering how amazing it was.

Can I give you magazine clippings of certain poses I want?

By all means! We would love to see images that inspire you. We have a relaxed style of shooting weddings but at times we do pose our wedding parties to make sure you get images that are pleasing to the eye. By you showing us a few images you like we can get to know what lighting styles and compositions get you excited and we can make sure we shoot to a similar concept, but at the end of the day, hopefully you have come to us because you like the way we do things so if we think your requests are unfeasible given the restraints of the day, we will let you know and discuss options with you.

What is the advantage to having two wedding photographers from the same company shooting simultaneously?

There are many advantages! With two togs at your wedding you can guarantee shots from different angles and locations. All our photographers have extremely similar styles and work together to tell the full story of the day so you wont be able to tell who shot which image unless you were paying specific attention to where we were standing!

We can split up and spend the time before the ceremony with both the bride and groom whilest they are getting ready, making sure we catch all the action and then you can see just how nervous the other was before the ceremony!

During the ceremony one of us will stand at the front, and one at the back, allowing us to remain still and not distract you or your guests while your saying your vows.

When one of us is organising the family shots after the service, the other is capturing relaxed shots of your guests enjoying your reception as well other things you wouldn’t see whilest you were having your photos taken.

In the worst case scenario (and touch wood – this hasn’t happened yet!), if one of our main cameras fail we will still have the other shooter as well as our back up camera to cover all the critical moments.

Our DJ can provide a photographer to, is this a problem?

We have had prior experiences when a member of the organiser's or DJ's team has brought along a camera to get a few snaps of the day, to use to promote their services, and guests have confused them with our professional team. We have then received feedback that there are images 'missing' from the final selection when in fact we didn't shoot them in the first place.

We don't want to confuse our clients, or your guests, by having surplus 'paparazzi' at your day, and because of this, we would prefer to be the only photographers at your event. If your event organiser, florist, DJ or other supplier would like some shots of your unique event (and you are happy for them to use them for their marketing) please give them our details and we will discuss getting images to them.

What are the advantages of having a solo photographer?

If your having a small number of guests at your wedding then having two photographers would be over-kill. Having too many people wondering around with massive cameras could intimidate your guests and put a damper their enjoyment. By having one photographer at smaller weddings we are able to stay discreet and disappear into the crowd allowing us to capture great natural images.

Having one photographer means you're dealing with one person who's had many conversations with you since you first met. The solo wedding photographer know your wants and your needs and understands WHO you are: The photographer can sense when you're going smile or cry or do that cute thing with your nose that your groom so loves about you. The photographer knows you. The better your photographer knows you, the better and more personal the images are going to be.

Will I meet the photographer before the wedding day?

It is as important to you as it is to me to arrange a meeting prior to the wedding day, so we will organize a date when we can meet to discuss all the details - sometimes this coincides with your pre-shoot.  To make our style of photography work it is important that we get on really well, plus you wouldn’t want to spend the day with someone you don’t like!

What about a site meeting?

It is an essential that we do a recce of your venues before the wedding day, to have a chat with the organizer and familiarize ourselves with your venues and find the best angles and plan contingencies if the weather turns out to be truly British.  Even so it is nice to meet up again before the wedding so we can discuss the layout of the day.

Will you travel to any location?

In the last few years we have shot weddings all over the UK from Edinburgh, to Bristol, to Kent and of course London and the home counties. Although we are based in north London, we are happy to travel to within the M25 at no extra charge. We love to travel and will go pretty much anywhere on request, although travel costs and accommodation will be charged for if your venue is further than a 2 hour drive.

Will you hold our date or call us if someone else requests that date?

Yes, we can pencil you in but due to the high volume of enquires we receive we can only hold a date for 14 days. To secure your date you will need to confirm your package with us and put down a deposit. If there is an enquiry from another party during your 14 day holding period, we will contact you and ask if you would like to secure your date with a deposit before considering another booking.

What are our payment options?

We ask for a completed booking form and a £250 non-refundable deposit/retainer to secure your package and date, for 50% of the balance to be paid 3 months before with the remainder due a week before your big day. You will receive an email confirmation and contract, along with these FAQ's and T&C's when you book with Jo Russell Photography.

What happens if we cancel our wedding?

Please notify us as soon as you’ve made the unfortunate decision to cancel your wedding. We will require a signed statement from you regarding your cancellation.

If your event is canceled within six weeks of your wedding date, then you will still be liable to pay for the full cost of your package as we would not be able to gain another booking for that day. For full details please see the full wedding T's + C's.

During your big day…

What if you cant make it to our wedding?

We have a network of other professional photographers who we can call on in the unlikely event that we cant make it to your wedding. Although in all our years as professional photographers we are happy to day we have never had to take advantage of this.

Do you bring a spare camera just in case anything goes wrong?

Yes, we carry spares of everything – lights, cameras, lenses, cards, step ladders and even umbrellas. We make sure we are covered for every eventuality - at least twice! This continues after the day when we triple back up the storage of your images so we know all know they are safe.

What if it snows on our wedding day?

It has happened before and will happen again! Snow obviously throws up unusual circumstances but we have the experience to know how to handle your photography without you having to worry about a think.

For example, you may wish to have a romantic shot outside your venue to take advantage of the beautiful snowy scene. We will make sure we cool down your dress/suits so if any snow was to land on it it could be easily brushed off afterwards leaving no marks.

If we know snow is imminent we will endeavour to pack shovels in our kit bags, as well as bringing two cars to make sure we can make it between your venues. We are well practiced at digging out wedding cars that have been stuck in the snow, as well as taking great shots of the whole event! We also understand that you don’t control the weather, so if your day runs late we will stay to catch all the action until the action is over!

How long should we set aside for formal photographs?

Depending on what we have discussed beforehand, your formal shots could take from minutes to hours to capture. The time we will set aside will incorporate factors like finding your guests, waiting for them to have a drink and getting elderly guests or young children into position.

We will write a shoot list before the day so we know who the important people are in your bridal party, and of course the longer the shootlist - the longer it will take. We try to keep this section of your day as organised as possible as it is usually held during your reception and we want you to get to enjoy it too. After the formal group shots we will take you and your new spouse away for a private photo session which can last between 10-20 minutes depending on your location. Please allow 3-5 minutes for each shot as a rough guide when planning your schedule, and of course ask any questions if you have them.

You can save lots of time by letting your bridal party know they need to stay close by during when your having your formal images shot. By appointing one member of each family, who knows everyone, to work with us to ensure they are ready for their portraits you will save further time, couples generally choose the maid of honour and best man for these duties.

Do we need to provide a meal for you?

We definitely appreciate being fed during a wedding!

As most of our weddings are full days, we are working hard constantly from whilst you’re getting ready in the morning until you sit down for your diner (and after the speeches) which can be hours. This can be the first time we get to take a break and by that point we need a little recharge to make sure we are ready for your evenings dancing!

If you’re kind enough to provide a meal please ensure we get served when you do, so we can eat and be ready for any speeches or planned events. Some venues have a break out room for suppliers and some don’t, the closer we are to where you are the better so we don’t miss any of the action.

Our officiant has told us that pictures cant be taken during the ceremony, what do we do?

We have to clarify what ‘no pictures’ means. It could mean that pictures can be taken during the processional or recessional only, or that we can’t use flash, or that pictures can only be taken from the rear of the venue. It could be they are conscious of distractions or, that absolutely no pictures can be taken. We may be able to reach a compromise, but communication is definitely the key.

We always talk to the person in charge of your ceremony on the day if haven’t managed to meet them whilst visiting the venues beforehand, but if you could ask what they prefer before the day and let us know then we are all prepared.

Most registrars prefer we don’t take shots while you sign the register as you will be signing a legal document and photographs can cause a distraction, they don’t want you signing the wrong page or name! Therefore we generally hang back and set up a shot with a dummy book afterwards.

After the big day…

Will we see all the images shot from our day?

No. We capture thousands of images throughout your day and heavily edit them to tell your story concisely and beautifully, everything you receive will be fully retouched and finished. We back up your images on to two hard drives, one is kept on the Jo Russell Photography premasis and the other in a secure location away from the studio. We never delete your images and you are welcome to come back to us at any time for reprints.

How much input do we have in designing our wedding album?

You will be able to choose the images for your album from your disc and online gallery, or we can spend time with you to help you choose. We will then give your selections to our designers who will deign your album to suit your style and requirements, then email you a PDF document for you to check. You can then choose to tweak the design by sending us your changes in an email and we will redo the PDF and send it back to you. You have up to 5 changes included within your package and any further changes will incur further charges.

Portraits FAQ's

  • What should I expect during my shoot?
  • They say you shouldn't work with kids or pets - is it ok if I bring both?
  • Do we come to you or can you come to us?
  • What is included in the cost?
  • What should we bring?
  • What should we wear?
  • How do we view and order our images?
  • Can you do my hair and make up?
  • How can I book?

What should I expect during my shoot?

Expect a warm welcome in comfortable surroundings whether your on location, at home or in the studio. We will start the shoot by running through what you would like to achieve and then get on with shooting and having fun! We can capture a range of shots from fully clothed to tasteful nudes, and will discuss your preferences before we begin shooting.

They say you shouldn't work with kids or pets - is it ok if I bring both?

Yes! Your whole family can come along – we don’t want to leave anyone out! Please allow extra time if you are a large group and have lots of children or animals as this can take a little extra time.

Do we come to you or can you come to us?

We have portable studio equipment if you would like a studio shoot but cant get to us. We also shoot out on location if you have a venue in mind – please be aware that this can be weather dependent.  We will ask for travel expenses if your location is more than 30 miles from the studio.

What is included in the cost?

If you go for the portrait shoot package for £195 your investment includes the shoot plus £150 worth of products. You can choose between digital files, artwork for your calls or albums. Please get in touch for a product price list.

What should we bring?

Props are a great way to bring your pictures to life so if you are a bookworm, magician, musician, artist or shopaholic bring the things you cherish to make your pictures extra special.

If you have been gifted with any items for your little one please bring them along – be it a door name plate, some knitted booties or a stuffed toy, these items will personalise your shots.

For little ones around 12 months bring their favourite toy with. Its great for me to use to get their attention and will give them something familiar to focus on in a new studio set up or somewhere unusual.

By all means bring food for you and your family. Please stay away from melty/messy things like chocolate or crisps like watsits that just create more problems than results! We will discuss before your shoot what/when to feed your children. Each age group benefits from a different use of food before/during/after a shoot so we will discuss this before your shoot also.

What should we wear?

Bring a wide variety of your favourite clothes, from the opulent evening gown you love, to your warmest over coat. A good base to start from is a pair of jeans and a plain top, but your clothes help tell your story so bring your favourite items and anything you feel comfortable in. Bring a range of shapes of clothes to show off your silhouette,  and if you’re coming having shots with your family: please make sure you both have some outfits with you that complement each other. Choose a colour palette with similar tones and clothes with a similar style, such as autumn colours with a casual feel. Your images will look better if your both in jeans rather than one wearing a suit and the other in a more casual outfit.

Try and stay away from large logos as they can be distracting.

How do we view and order our images?

You can either choose for Jo to visit with a computer so she can walk you through your images and help you choose your products, or you can view them on a private online gallery on your own computer and choose/order your products online.

Can you do my hair and make up?

We work with a couple of fabulous hair stylists and make-up artists so if you would like a quote for your shoot please let us know.

How can I book?

We are waiting patiently by the phone for your call… so click here for our contact details!

They say you shouldn’t work with kids and pets – is it ok if I bring both?

Yes! Your whole family can come along – we don’t want to leave anyone out! Please allow extra time if you are a large group and have lots of children or animals as this can take a little extra time.

Can my partner come along too?

Of course! If you are coming in for a course of shoots your partner may want to join you all the way through or just for your last bump shoot. Partners, grandparents and siblings are also always welcome when photographing new-borns.

What display products do you stock and how much are they?

We have a wide range of products available from digital images, prints, canvases, acrylic desk and wall art, wall and desk frames, art boxes, albums, cards and gifts. Please get in touch for a full up to date price guide.

Do we come to you or can you come to us?

We have portable studio equipment if you would like a studio shoot but cant get to us. We also shoot out on location if you have a venue in mind – please be aware that this can be weather dependent.  We will ask for travel expenses if your location is more than 30 miles from the studio.

Bring a wide variety of your favourite clothes, from the opulent evening gown you can still squeeze into, to your warmest over coat. A good base to start from is a pair of jeans and a plain tank/vest top, but your clothes help tell your story so bring your favourite items and anything you feel comfortable in. Bring a range of shapes of clothes to show off your curves, a great place to start would be to bring your partners shirt, a tight dress, a couple of your favourite scarves and even some heals! For boudoir images bring some pretty undies or negligée and a dressing gown. If you’re coming to the studio with your partner: please make sure you both have some outfits with you that complement each other. Your images will look better if your both in jeans rather than one wearing a suit and the other in a more casual outfit.

Try and stay away from large logos as they can be distracting.

How do we view our images?

You are welcome to come into the studio for a cup of decaf tea or coffee and view your images on our state of the art projector, or alternatively we can upload your images to a private online gallery for you to view in the comfort of your own home.

Can you do my hair and make-up?

We work with a couple of fabulous hair stylists and make-up artists so if you would like a quote for your shoot please let us know.

Wedding / Bar/Bat Mitzvah / Event / Corporate Event Terms & Conditions

In the following conditions of contract “the photographers” shall mean Jo Russell Photography or any photographer(s) appointed by Jo Russell Photography. “The Clients” shall be those whose names appear on the contract. If the clients arrange for a third party to meet the costs of this contract the contract remains with the clients. The due performance of the contract is subject to the conditions below and cannot be varied in any way by the clients unless expressly agreed by the photographers in writing.

1. Copyright: The Copyright and Design Act 1988 assigns the copyright of the images to the photographers. It is contrary to the Act, and therefore illegal, to copy these images, or allow them to be copied, by any means photographic, by computer, internet or otherwise, by any person or machine other than by the photographers or their appointed agents, unless a royalty-free licence or a reproduction licence has been granted in writing.

2. Display: The Clients hereby allow the photographers to display any images covered by this contract and to generally promote the business by means of advertising, publicity material, websites, exhibitions, competitions, magazine articles, and other such media, providing that the images are used lawfully and without damage to the clients. Images placed in password protected galleries within the website are not available to the general public in the normal course of events. However it may not always be possible to prevent determined persons from accessing these galleries.

3. Licence and Coverage:
a) The photographers shall be granted artistic licence in relation to the poses photographed and the locations used. Although every effort will be made to comply with the Clients’ requirements, the photographers’ judgment regarding the location, poses and number of photographs taken shall be deemed correct.
b) For bookings involving a religious ceremony or at certain other venues, photographers’ movements are sometimes restricted by the minister or official in charge: photographing of parts or even all of the ceremony or event may be restricted or prohibited, as may the use of artificial lighting. The photographers cannot accept responsibility for limited coverage in such cases.
c) Whilst the photographers shall endeavour to fulfil all the Clients’ requirements, they cannot be held responsible for non-availability of subjects or adverse conditions which may delay the progress of proceedings, preventing the coverage of certain specified shots.
d) Any alterations made to the booking by the Clients once details have been confirmed may only be made at the discretion of the photographers. If unable to accommodate alternative arrangements (such as the change of event date or venue) the photographers are not liable to compensate the client(s) in any way whatsoever.

4. Image Reproduction:
a) Owing to photochromatic anomalies caused by a combination of certain dyes and materials, especially in man-made fibres, it is sometimes impossible to record on camera the exact colour of materials as perceived by the human eye. When processing images, the photographers will endeavour to achieve a pleasing overall colour balance based on natural flesh tones.
b) It is understood that some colours may not remain consistent throughout a set of photographs owing to variations in lighting conditions. It is also understood that all photographic printing is undertaken within the technical limitations of the process and that colour may not be identical over the whole range within a subject. The colour balance of prints made at different times or in varying sizes may also be variable.
c) Due to the limitations of computer monitors it is understood that images may appear differently according to the specification of each monitor and that prints will not match images rendered on any particular computer monitor.
d) Where images are made available for use with a personal computer the default operating system shall be Mac OS X Lion. Products may not function on other operating systems.
e) Where images are made available for use on a DVD player reasonable steps are taken to ensure compatibility, but DVD discs may not play on all DVD players, particularly older models.
f) We use only quality CDs and DVDs, ensuring each is checked before dispatch, but it remains the responsibility of the clients to check discs for in-transit damage. The photographers cannot be held responsible for damage to equipment resulting from defective media.
g) All print and presentation sizes quoted are approximate and subject to the discretion of the photographers.

5. Payment and Prices:
a) A non-refundable booking fee of £250 is required to secure the photographers’ services for the day, with the relevant balance for each package due prior to the event.
b) Upgrades to album packages are payable at time of ordering; prices agreed on booking are guaranteed until 12 months after the event and may then be subject to increase without notice. Digital files will be archived after 2 years; a search fee may then be charged for reproduction and inclusion in albums in addition to prices currently in force.
c) All reorders shall be treated as an extension of this contract. Reprint prices are subject to change without notice and a search fee may be charged for orders placed after a 2 year period.
d) Return journeys in excess of 50 miles may attract a mileage charge of 50p per mile. Overnight accommodation may be required for events over 50 miles away.

6. Cancellation:
a) In the highly unlikely event of cancellation by both photographers, or unavoidable total photographic failure, the photographers’ liability shall be limited to a full refund of any booking fees and fees paid. Re-shoots may be arranged if practicable but the photographers will not be responsible for any further costs.
b) The photographers will endeavour to appoint other photographers in the unlikely event that they are both unable to attend a booking. However it may prove difficult or impossible to find a skilled replacement photographer at short notice or at the same price.
c)
Once the booking is confirmed, the client may cancel this contract at any time by giving written notice to the photographer/s but in doing so shall forfeit any monies. The following cancellation fees will become due immediately:

  1. The Clients are entitled to a full refund of the £250 booking fee if they withdraw within 14 days of booking.
  2. The booking fee of £250 will be forfeited on cancellations made after 14 days.
  3. Cancelations more than 6 months prior to date:- 30% of agreed package price.
  4. Cancelations more than 3 months prior to date:- 60% of agreed package price.
  5. Cancelations less than 3 months prior to date:- 90% of agreed package price. The sum shall be payable as compensation as an estimate of the loss that the photographer/s would suffer.
  6. Where the photographers are able to rebook the date with an equivalent booking, the cancellation fee can be reduced to the non-refundable booking fee only and any additional cancellation fees already paid will be refunded accordingly.
  7. In the event of postponement, then at the discretion of Jo Russell Photography, and subject to availability, monies other than the booking fee may be applied to the new event.
  8. It is essential to inform the photographers as soon as possible of any changes of venue, times, or contact details etc. in writing.
